Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. The son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where together with his three classmates, he formed his own band, White Eskimo. Their outstanding performances allowed them to win their first Battle of Bands 2009. Although he has always expressed an interest in the world of music however, despite his love in it, he also wanted to be a lawyer or an physiotherapist. He worked in a local bakery part-time to help his family financially. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, and did Is not She Lovely, a Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. Due to this, the group he was in had to be split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. In the contest, the group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to be the winner. However, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell was a millionaire in a contract for One Direction.
