Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She's written 15 books. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the president of their media company that also includes the other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant. She was extremely close to her father. However, it was her bond with her mother who formed her. In her earliest years, she exhibited leadership skills for which she is still well-known. She moved to England at 16 to continue her education and then enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate group. As the third woman president and the first foreigner she served as the head of Cambridge Union. In 1972, her master's in Economics was awarded. Her professional career as TV host and journalist started after her graduation. She also appeared in an edition of Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from him.
